Revenue Intelligence
Where the money is leaking — underpayments, missed charges, and the payer behaviour behind them.
Denials are the visible loss. The quieter one is the claim that paid — just not at the contracted rate, or without the second procedure that was performed and never charged. Revenue intelligence checks what was paid against what was owed, and shows the pattern rather than one-off variances.
How the AI works
- 01
Compare against contract
Paid amounts checked against the contracted rate for that payer and code, so underpayments surface instead of clearing quietly.
- 02
Catch the missed charge
Documented procedures that never became a charge line, found by reading the encounter rather than the superbill.
- 03
Watch payer behaviour
Days-to-pay and denial mix tracked per payer, so a slowdown is visible while it is still a trend and not a cash problem.
Humans in the loop. By architecture.
Every flagged underpayment comes with the claim, the contracted rate, and the difference, so the appeal is a five-minute task rather than a research project. Where we cannot find a contracted rate to compare against, we say so instead of guessing at one.
Questions, answered
What is revenue leakage in medical billing?+
Revenue that was earned but never collected and never appears as a denial: services documented but not charged, claims paid below the contracted rate, eligibility missed at the front desk, and balances written off without anyone deciding to.
Do you need our payer contracts?+
To detect underpayments properly, yes. Without the contracted rates we can still show variance against your own historical averages, but that finds outliers rather than systematic underpayment.
How is this different from denial analytics?+
Denial analytics works claims the payer pushed back on. Revenue intelligence works the claims that looked fine.
