An AR aging report groups unpaid balances into buckets by age, typically 0–30, 31–60, 61–90, 91–120 and over 120 days. The older a claim gets, the less likely it is to be paid.
The share of AR over 90 days is a common health check: a growing older bucket means claims are not being followed up.
